Our customs (by Ximena)

Where to start? There so much to say about us, so I'll be brief.
Most of ticos love soccer as much as their mothers. We admit that we are irresponsible and that we are always late for everything. We think we are the best country in Central America. But this is not true. The truth is that the other countries are so messed up that even we look fine.
We are xenophobic. When something goes wrong we always blame on the Nicaraguan or Colombian people.
We are always complaining about everything instead of doing something about it.
We call our selves a "pacific country" for the fact that we don't have an official army. But we only have to see our streets or the news to see that we are in war among our selves; because we have become in very violent people.

The thing is, I'd like to say something good about us but we have to be realistic: we are not going to change.
